The LA County Board of Supervisors is set to vote on Item 7 today, which calls to put an end to the Covid-19 state of emergency eviction moratorium and rent freeze. At 9 am, they will be taking public comments. We need all hands on deck, so if you have the time to urge the board to support Item 7 please do! 

Call (877) 226-8163 then enter code 1336503. Press 1 then 0 to address the Board. Be sure to call in right at 9 am and prepare for a long wait. Request to speak on Item 7 for general public comment. 

Earlier this year, the board voted to extend the emergency rent freeze and moratorium through 2022, with no end date specified. Los Angeles County is one of the last areas in the country to continue the pandemic emergency measures, and it's time to band together to put an end to it.

Wednesday at 3 pm: LA City Committee to Review Proposed End Date of Eviction Moratorium

At the city level, there will be another meeting to consider Item 4 which proposes an end date for eviction moratoriums. Item 4 also instructs city staff to prepare permanent regulations to replace the emergency orders.

Make public comment:

Call 1 669 254 5252 and use Meeting ID No. 160 871 1866 and then press #. Press # again when prompted for participant ID. Once admitted into the meeting, press *9 to request to speak. Request to speak on Item #4 and general public comment.
