Atwater Village, Los Angeles Real Estate
The neighborhood of Atwater Village is flanked by the Los Angeles River to the west, Glendale to the north and east, Silver Lake to the south, Elysian Valley to the southeast, Glassell Park to the northeast and Los Feliz to the west.
A mixture of commercial/industrial and residential area, the real estate market of Atwater Village consists of single-family homes, as well as multi-family properties. The neighborhoods in the southern end of Atwater Village are primarily single-family homes, whilst the market expands further north. In alignment with many of the other luxury Los Angeles neighborhoods in the area, Atwater Village offers numerous opportunities to purchase a multi-family home for sale to generate income.
Atwater Village has some fascinating architecture. Whilst Spanish style homes are definitely the most prevalent, select neighborhoods expand their designs. The residential neighborhood around Valleybrink Road, for example, presents some exceptional Tudor-style homes. Additionally, most of the homes for sale are bungalows, and the historic properties for sale in this neighborhood have construction dates in and around the 1920s.
New construction homes are rarer to find in Atwater Village, many homeowners instead choosing to renovate and maintain the home's historic features, especially with the Spanish style residences. Because of this, modern interiors (often Mid-Century Modern or Contemporary designs) are frequently found in Atwater Village homes for sale.
