Twenty miles south of Los Angeles, Paramount real estate offers home buyers bargain prices, amenities for families, and some unique Southern California landmarks. Paramount, a city of 56,000, is wedged between Compton to the west, South Gate and Downey to the north, Bellflower to the east, and Long Beach to the south.

For nearly 40 years, the Christmas Train, a gingerbread-house boxcar, sleigh car, and caboose have made stops throughout the city with Santa and his team of elves dispersing apples, candy canes, and good cheer.
